Who is Amy Taylor

AMY T for Chestermere Council, Oct 16, 2017

Hi I am Amy Taylor and I am running for Chestermere Council this Oct 16th, 2017, I encourage you to vote and to participate and I trust that you will vote for me as I care deeply about Chestermere.

Please take the time to examine all Candidates and to become informed as have I become informed about this important opportunity for positive Change.

My vision of Chestermere is:

A Community Connected by clear Communication and Cooperation!

I have been an active member of this community since 2012. I have attached my Resume to give you a quick look at my professional career and accomplishments.

I am ALWAYS glad to COMMUNICATE with you.

Some of the issues that I feel are relevant to our City:

  1. Chestermere Utilities Incorporated (CUI): I have already provided the CEO with a contact, from my past work in Ottawa, to bring in equipment to reduce our roadside waste to its carbon matter and utilize same for energy for our City.
  2. Expansion of our Commercial tax base: I want to bring in more commercial/business/light industry as we desperately need to alleviate the tax burden on our great residents.
  3. Bring to a successful conclusion the owner/operator issues that exist between the County/City and Rec Centre Board. The Rec Centre is a vital hub of our Community, my family and I love using the facility and it needs to become an even bigger, more robust centre of our Community.
  4. Transit from Chestermere to Calgary: A fantastic opportunity exists as Calgary Transit is putting a bus lane in the middle of 17th Ave as I type. I would like to look into the possibility of extending that into Chestermere to improve and ease access to Calgary where many Residents work.

These are a few of my initial thoughts; I want to hear what you feel are important issues facing our growing Community. Please feel free to email me your questions and I will post my answers here.

Chestermere is OUR Community, our homes, our businesses, the place where our children grow up, I too have a daughter that is a busy participant in our Community and I want whats best for us all.

I want to work for YOU, bringing your concerns/ideas/energies and SOLUTIONS forward and then implement the best of them to serve our Community better.

On October 16, 2017 with advanced polls the 7th and 14th I hope I have earned your Vote for Council! Please vote for Amy T!

Sincerely

Amy Taylor
